Hi there, I am Ana
Project manager. Parent. Expat residing in Lisbon, Portugal.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually evolved into a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Portugal wasn't in the long-range plan. As with many expat moves, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far larger.
The initial months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Routine tasks felt more complicated than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of hands-on learning. Yet gradually, routines settled in. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and started building something that felt stable.
Why I Built Sage Sunrise Grove
Most online resources were either corporate relocation guidance or surface-level tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Portugal.
What This Site Does (And Doesn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on insights from living in Portugal
- Centered on family life and day-to-day realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site is NOT:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not just another travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Portugal continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll continue documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Lisbon or anywhere in Portugal, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Ana
